The Graffiti Animation was made by young people from FACT’s Freehand Young Filmmakers collective in collaboration with artist Jackie Passmore. It was premiered on 15th September 2008 at ‘The Bike In Theatre’ at Static Gallery as part of a selection of moving image works curated by Jackie Passmore and presented by Audiovision.

The filmmaking process involved the young participants in the planning and painting of hundreds of graffiti “frames”- incorporating graffiti and the classical animation technique of stop motion animation onto the walls Liverpool’s Static Gallery, a superb urban architecural/cinematic intervention.
