SCAN is an experimental and sitespecific cine-city installation of visual architecture.

From Paul Virilio:

“Since the beginning of the 20th century..the Screen…has become the city square.

It is a specially commissioned projected installation onto the façade of the Mersey Tunnel 1930’s Air Vent, 15th – 19th Sept 2008 – with NOMO (NYC/Sweden) and Liverpool-based artist Jacqueline Passmore and its part of AudioVision, Liverpool’s first Audio Visual festival!

SCAN is a project that looks at the city as on organism using the The Mersey Tunnel Air Vent in Liverpool as a departure. We will take the moving image into the public space and create a link between cinema and architecture – a choreography of spatiovisual cinema.

Using both New York and Liverpool as city departure points we will look at the the city/cities in themselves and respond to a shifting urban structure.
